Phato Safari Zone Booking

​Phato Safari Zone, the newest addition to Jim Corbett National Park, offers an immersive wildlife experience amidst dense Sal forests and diverse flora and fauna. Located approximately 28 km from Ramnagar, this zone is renowned for sightings of Bengal tigers, elephants, leopards, and a variety of bird species. The terrain comprises a mix of deciduous forests and open grasslands, providing excellent visibility for wildlife sightings.​

The safari season in Phato Zone runs throughout the year, with operations subject to road and weather conditions. Safaris are conducted in two shifts daily: morning and evening. During summer (April to June), the morning safari operates from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, and the evening safari from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. In winter (October to March), the timings adjust to 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM for the morning safari and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for the evening safari. Each safari lasts approximately three hours, allowing ample time for exploration and wildlife observation. A maximum of 50 vehicles are permitted per shift, making advance booking essential .​

To ensure a seamless experience, advance booking is recommended. Bookings can be made through authorized online portals or directly at the Corbett National Park office in Ramnagar. The package includes the entry permit, 4x4 jeep, driver, and guide fees. For Indian nationals, the cost is approximately ₹8,500 per jeep, while foreign nationals may incur higher charges. It's advisable to carry valid identification documents, such as a government-issued ID for Indian nationals or a passport for foreign visitors .​

For those seeking an immersive experience, the Phato Eco-Tourism Zone offers unique treehouse accommodations. Each treehouse can accommodate two guests and provides a rustic yet comfortable stay amidst the wilderness. Bookings for the treehouse are currently available only through offline permits obtained from the forest department office in Ramnagar. Guests are advised to carry their own raw materials for meals, which can be prepared by the on-site cook .​
