Durga Devi Safari Zone, located on the northeastern edge of Jim Corbett National Park, offers a unique wildlife experience amidst hilly terrain and dense forests. Accessible via the Durgadevi Gate, approximately 28 km from Ramnagar, this zone is renowned for sightings of wild elephants, otters, and the elusive Bengal tiger. The Ramganga and Mandal rivers meander through the area, enhancing its biodiversity and scenic beauty.β
The safari season in Durga Devi Zone runs from 15th October to 15th June, with operations suspended during the monsoon months. Safaris are conducted in two shifts daily: morning (6:00 AM to 9:00 AM) and evening (2:00 PM to 5:30 PM). Each safari lasts approximately three hours, allowing ample time for exploration and wildlife observation. A maximum of 15 vehicles are permitted per shift, making advance booking essential, especially during weekends and holidays .β
Booking can be done through the official Corbett National Park website or authorized travel agents. The package includes the entry permit, 4x4 jeep, driver, and guide fees. For Indian nationals, the cost is approximately βΉ7,200 per jeep, while foreign nationals may incur higher charges. It's advisable to carry valid identification documents, such as a government-issued ID for Indian nationals or a passport for foreign visitors .β
For those seeking an immersive experience, the Lohachaur Forest Rest House offers overnight accommodations from November 15 to June 30. This facility provides a unique opportunity to stay within the park, enhancing the wildlife experience. However, bookings for the rest house are subject to availability and should be made well in advance .β

Visitors can book online Jeep Safari or Canter Safari for Eight different zones of the park namely, Bijrani, Jhirna, Dhikala, Dhela, Phanto, Garjiya, Pawalgarh, and Durgadevi. All the procedures of Online Safari Booking at Corbett Tiger Reserve are managed by forest officials as per Indiaβs forest department guidelines. Please note that we cannot influence the safari zone, safari driver, and the naturalist guide as it is not in our hands. It is solely decided by the forest officials. Though all the zones have a healthy population of tigers wildlife sightings are reported more or less the same. These all aspects are supervised by the automated computerized system to ensure the equal distribution of safari vehicles in respective zones.
